“You have to be an effective communicator, if you want to succeed in life.”
In season 26 episode 2, we are joined by Steve Herz. He is the Founder of IF Management, President of The Montag Group, and author of Don’t Take Yes For An Answer.
How to Master Communication

Regardless of whether you are using spoken or written words, every message should pass through the 3C’s test.
A Proven Alternative Approach
In Steve Herz’s new book, Don’t Take Yes for An Answer, he described an alternative communication strategy called AWE. It stands for:
- Authority – Earns other people’s respect
- Warmth – Earns other peoples affection and trust
- Energy – Compels other people to follow
“Developing AWE is the single greatest factor in determining whether you plateau or continue on to reach high levels of success”Steve Herz
Regardless of what method of communication you buy into, the major lesson is being an effective communicator is a key to your success. It will help you in your career, in your marriage, and with personal relationships.
Prepare and practice to master your communication by asking yourself: How can I be clear, concise, conclusive and do it with authority, warmth, and energy!
