The Simple Rules of Self Belief and Attitude

There is one thing you can control every single day of your life. It’s your attitude. You decide what your attitude, and at the center of your attitude is the belief in yourself. There isn’t anyone else in the world that can do it for you. It has to come from within.

There are 3 simple rules the famous football coach Lou Holtz describes to help build that internal self-belief and maintain a positive attitude:

  1. Do what’s right. If you do what’s right you are going to like yourself deep down inside
  2. Do your best. Don’t accept mediocrity – your capable of more. If you are doing your best every single day, your confidence will follow
  3. Treat others the way you want to be treated. It’s the golden rule

These rules are so simple, right? They’re so simple, all it takes is a little test to know if you are executing them. Before you lay your head on your pillow at night think, “Have I done everything in my power to do what’s right? Have I done the very best I can? Have I treated others the way I want to be treated?”

If the answer is “yes” to all the questions, then it’s only a matter of time before you succeed. If the answer is “no,” the good news is, you get to control your attitude and your approach the very next day.

Pretty soon you will believe you can achieving great things. If you are able to put these three ideas into action every single day the belief in yourself and maintaining a positive attitude will improve daily.
